Head of Key Account Management Development, Global

KONE has decided to increase investments in Key Account Management development as part of KONE Winning with Customers -strategy. Market trends are driving the development to move from customer transactions towards more holistic customer accounts both nationally, cross-border and globally.

KONE’s Key Account Management approach will cover both our equipment and service businesses as well as all new services and solutions currently in the market as well as under development for our customers.

We will do this by putting the customer in the center of everything we do, while capturing digital opportunities.

To enable us to take this leap we are now looking for

Head of Key Account Management Development, Global


In this role you will be in a key position to own and drive this change together with your Key Account Management colleagues across KONE. You will be responsible for developing key account management leadership, including methods, tools etc. as well as be responsible for a few selected KONE strategic accounts yourself.

We are looking for a true sales champion with the ability and skills to take a development journey with us and lead the way with concrete actions and solid global sales and development experience.


  • Drive, develop and lead key account management from operational excellence towards holistic, relationship based on KONE approach
  • Design and deploy the KONE Way for key account management based on best in class practices
  • Own business performance and customer relationship for few selected KONE strategic accounts
  • Support cross-border customers and help in bigger tenders
  • Provide hands-on support to KAMs in geographical areas and countries where business performance improvement needs exit
  • Establish and follow-up of Key Account Management KPI´s globally
  • Coach and support sales and local Key Accounts to achieve results
  • Further enhance and lead Key Account Management community for competence building, networking etc.


  • Excellent knowledge and leadership of key account management
  • Proven track record of global key account management and/or proven track record of leading a KAM organization in a global environment
  • Solid experience from sales and sales leadership
  • Strategic and conceptual thinking with ability to translate complexity to clarity
  • Capability to influence without authority in a matrix organization
  • Understanding on how KAM models should be implemented in CRM and in Financial reporting
  • Ability to manage a complex set of stakeholders and decision makers at KONE
  • Transformation leadership capabilities
  • Ability to thrive and deliver results across multiple geographical areas and cultures
  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills
  • Willingness to travel


  • You will have a unique position to work with all KONE business lines, new services & solutions and all functions. We have a very large set of customer types, from developers, builders and architects to building owners and property managers. You will have a chance to develop your skills in inspiring, high-performing work environment with motivated global, area and country colleagues.
  • Key Account Management is a key priority in our group leadership agenda, so this position will offer exposure to our Executive management
  • You will report to EVP of Service Business, and in dotted line to EVP of New Equipment Business
